The snow is falling and the lights are gleaming! You can feel the Christmas spirit everywhere you look and there are so many fun activities to get yourself into the Christmas Spirit! Make sure to add these festivities to your holiday list! 



Look at Lights

Looking at lights is a tradition for many families this time of year.  The and Treasure Valley has many displays that you must see!|
Here are some of our favorite places:

  • Winter Wonderland in Caldwell - Considered one of the best Christmas light displays in Idaho, this is a must see. 
  • Scentsy Commons lights - Free of charge, take a stroll through over 45 miles of Holiday lights featuring their infamous light tunnel and more than 450 trees wrapped in stunning multi-colored lights! 
  • Winter Garden aGlow - This is the Idaho Botanical Garden's biggest fundraiser of the year! Experience over 60,000 lights hung throughout the garden. Create memories with various vendors throughout the garden all while enjoying this magnificent display! 
  • Boise Christmas Lights - Have your family pile in the car and drive around with some hot cocoa and look at all the lights in the surrounding area. This map is perfect to find all the houses decked out for the season!

The Nutcracker

This classic ballet really puts you in the holiday spirit with sugar plum fairies and charming mice. Taking you through a dreamland of sweets, Ballet Idaho and the children from the Ballet Idaho Academy will take the stage in an unforgettable performance. Accompanied live performances by the Boise Philharmonic and Opera Idaho’s children choruses, you wont want to miss this incredible show. 



Winter Windows

Take a stroll in Downtown Boise and see the beautifully decorated window displays at your favorite shops. Vote for your favorite by scanning the QR code on the window!  This truly puts you in the Holiday spirit as you finish up your Christmas shopping! 

Catch a Movie at the Egyptian

The Egyptian Theater in Boise is showing Christmas movies throughout the month of December, from Elf to Die Hard, there is a showing for everyone. Take a look at the movie schedule here.
